Pupils from Radnor Primary School visited us at Cardiff City Stadium for a collapsed curriculum day with a twist. Year 5 and 6 children were joined by participants on our Veterans': Sporting Memories Project to find out more about Armistice Day on Sunday 11th November.

The children also gave our Veterans' an insight into how certain aspects of school life has changed from when they were in school, compared to school life today. With the help of the visual materials provided by the Sporting Memories Foundation, groups discussed the significant developments in sport, friendships and lifestyle over the years.

Developing new relationships was also a key aspect of the session, as many of the children and Veterans' became pen-pals as part of the day, which was themed around literacy. This will see them interact with each other in the near future, as the Bluebirds Charity pass letters from Veterans' to school and vice versa.
