Cardiff City first-team players Neil Etheridge and Marlon Pack paid a visit to Cardiff City Stadium to celebrate the success of learners who completed our six-week Traineeship Engagement Summer Programme.

Both players were on hand to present our learners with certificates of their achievements including qualifications in Basic First Aid, FAW Football Leaders and Essential Skills.

Heavenly, a learner on our Traineeship Level One programme, moved to Wales in 2017 to be with her mother but English was her second language.

"When I joined the Foundation's course, I couldn't speak English and I was really lost, I didn't know where to start," she says. "The Foundation has made me realise that I can still have a future and get the most of my education."

Now in its second year, the summer programme provides young people between the ages of 16-19 with advice, techniques, experience and opportunity to become work-ready or progress into further education.

We wish all learners the best of luck in the future and look forward to welcoming back a number of learners as they progress on our Future Pathways Programme.
