For children and young people PL Primary Stars Information Morning Cardiff City FC Foundation are hosting an information morning on the 28th February for teachers to find out more about our Premier League Primary Stars Programme. Taking place between 9:30am - 11:30am, the event will provide information to head teachers and PE coordinators on what Cardiff City FC Foundation can offer your primary school. Available to primary schools across England and Wales, it inspires girls and boys aged 5-11 in the classroom, the playground and on the sports field. The Premier League's mission is to offer a world-class primary school programme that uses the unique appeal of the Premier League and professional football clubs to improve and enhance physical education and other curriculum areas, developing skills and values that are crucial to success in later life. Objectives... To enhance the knowledge, skills and confidence of teachers in order to improve delivery of P.E and school sport. Increase children's enjoyment, participation and skills in competitive and non-competitive sports and physical activity. Increase children's understanding of the personal skills and values needed to achieve their goals. Enhance children's interest, understanding and confidence in English and maths. Support young people into further participation pathways in sport. Over a six year period, the programme will support the delivery of P.E, school sport, personal, social, health and economic (PHSE) education, English and maths within primary schools.
