Cardiff City FC Community Foundation recently partnered with EFL Trust and Ferrero to launch the ‘Joy of Moving Home School Festival’, a full afternoon of home school activities and games to get children and their families moving and having fun.

Following the launch of the new online Joy of Moving Resource Hub, the Foundation worked with 63 primary schools from across South Wales to support children and families with an afternoon of movement and fun with different games and activities to encourage healthier, more active lives during the lockdown period.

Dean Pymble, the Foundation's Primary Stars Coordinator said;

It was fantastic to be involved in the EFL Joy of Moving Home School Festival. It’s essential that children stay physically active during lockdown to help both their mental and physical health. The Home School Festival provided fun games and activities to support healthy and active lives, whilst continuing to follow government guidelines.

Lisa Williams, a parent from St Marys Church in Wales Primary School said:

"My son Mason is 8 years old and loved the Joy of Moving Home Festival! He enjoyed following the timetable and completing every activity. As a Cardiff City season ticket holder he was so keen to do it and as a family we thought it was fantastic spending time together enjoying lots of different games.

The Joy of Moving programme, a Ferrero CSR project, has been supporting Year 5 children across EFL Communities in the UK for the past 6 years. The Joy of Moving programme has consisted of two elements; the Move & Learn programme and Joy of Moving Festivals. Over 310,000 children have been introduced to moving and learning new skills all while having fun and playing.
