About Us Latest News Jordi named Community Participant of the Year The Bluebirds Charity would like to congratulate Jordi, who was Community Participant of the Year 2019 at Cardiff City Football Club's Awards Dinner at City Hall. Twelve year old Jordi picked up his award alongside his Bluebirds heroes including Callum Paterson, Neil Etheridge and Aron Gunnarsson. Jordi was honoured following his outstanding commitment and dedication to our Bluebirds Ability sessions and for his determination to progress following a number of operations. Jordi was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at the age of two, with his disability having the most impact on his legs, arms and torso. DONATE For Jordi, the Bluebirds Ability sessions have helped with his physical development, often during periods of rehabilitation. Giving Jordi the opportunity to take part in the sport despite his disability has seen him make huge strides towards achieving his full potential. As part of the Foundation's 10-year anniversary, we've launched an appeal to raise £350,000 to support children with disabilities access sport and improve primary school children's reading and writing skills. A donation of £10 could provide a child with a literacy pack, while a donation of £25 could pay for a young person to take part in our Bluebirds Ability sessions.
