Congratulations go out to the Foundation’s Post-16 Education Futsal ‘A’ team, who were victorious in the National Futsal Cup Finals as they defeated Grimsby Town 4-2, to claim the trophy for the first time.

After narrowly losing out last season, the boys found themselves up against the same opponents once again and were crowned champions this time around after coming from 2-0 down to turn the tie in their favour.

On route to the final, the boys defeated the likes of Chelsea and Bristol City to progress, scoring 18 goals in the process.

This comes in the same season that the A team also earned the South West Regional Championship title, finishing eight points clear of second place and winning 10 games from 10.

The Foundation's Post-16 education programme allows learners to take part in sport alongside studying for their BTEC Sport qualification in our alternative learning environment.

The Bluebirds Charity are welcoming potential learners to Cardiff City House of Sport on Wednesday 29th May to take part in a taster day, to give you more of an insight into the courses we offer.
