Crickhowell Primary School victorious at Girls Cup

 

24 teams and over 200 girls were in attendance at last week’s Foundation and New Directions Education Girls Cup, which saw Crickhowell Primary win the tournament for a second season in a row.

 

Teams from across Wales made the trip to the Cardiff International Sports Campus, with Crickhowell eventually defeating Georgetown Primary School 1-0 in the final.

 

Weston Charity Awards

 

The Bluebirds Charity were recently recognised at the Weston Charity Awards, as we were one of five Welsh charities recognised by the Garfield Weston Foundation and Pilotlight.

 

We will now receive a core grant as well a year’s strategic planning support to continue to help children, young people and families across South Wales to achieve their full potential. 

 

Joy of Moving Festival

 

Bishop Childs Church in Wales Primary School were the first to take part in our Joy of Moving festival in collaboration with the EFL Trust and Kinder + Sport UK.

Starting across Cardiff, the Foundation have committed to running these festivals across the summer to raise awareness of a healthy lifestyle within primary school children.
