Cardiff City FC Community Foundation has been nominated at this year's Football Business Awards, competing for the 'Best Football Community Scheme - non-Premier League.'

Selected alongside the likes of Fulham FC Foundation and Derby County Community Trust, the Bluebirds Charity have been recognised for the sporting opportunities it provides for children and young people with a disability.

Through a number of projects including our Bluebirds Ability sessions, PLBT Disability sessions and making our organisation more inclusive for children and young people with a disability, the Foundation use sport as a tool to encourage physical health and activity, social interaction and improve confidence.

The ceremony - which will take place in London - is an annual event that pays tribute to the supporting organisations that assist and enable the success of the game. These awards recognise and reward the off-pitch talents and endeavours that are an invaluable, if sometimes invisible, part of the fabric of football.
