Cardiff City FC Foundation are delighted to announce the creation of a brand new MAN v FAT weight loss league in Cardiff, with registration taking place at Cardiff City Stadium on Thursday 21st June at 19.30.

MAN V FAT Football -  an FA endorsed 14 week football league exclusively for the 68% of UK men who are overweight or obese launches it's first Welsh league in Cardiff this month.

MAN v FAT Football is a weight loss programme for overweight and obese men based around a weekly 6 a-side football where every player has the opportunity to influence the results through a unique scoring system based on individual and team weight loss.

Each week players weigh in before playing with a goal scored for every 2 players that lose weight plus bonus goals when players hit individual targets such as losing weight for 3 weeks or losing 5% and 10% of their starting body weight and these goals are added to the on-pitch score to create a final result for each match.

Roger Smith - a MAN V FAT football coach in Somerset - said: "It has been a privilege to help so many men make some incredible improvements to their lives, including reversals of diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol and gout, and I am really looking forward to helping to bring MAN v FAT Football to Cardiff and helping local men live lighter, fitter and healthier lives."
