Tuesday 20th October 2020

Wales will go into a national “firebreak lockdown” from 6pm Friday 23rd October until Monday 9th November 2020.

A range of new measures will come into force to protect people’s health and control the spread of the virus.

  • People must stay at home, except for very limited purposes.
  • People must not visit other households or meet other people they do not live with.
  • Certain businesses and venues including restaurants and most shops must close.
  • Primary schools will reopen after the half-term break, but only Years Seven and Eight in secondary schools will return at that time. For learners in years nine to thirteen, education will be provided through distance learning in the home.
  • Post 16 Education settings to move to online-only provision for the week following half term.

More information can be found here.

The safety of staff and beneficiaries remains our top priority and we have introduced measures to ensure we can continue to provide services safely and within the guidelines:

  • All Future Pathways Post 16-Education programmes will be delivered online for the week following half term. All students will be contacted and notified directly.
  • All Premier League Kicks and Bluebirds Ability sessions will take place online from Friday 23rd – Monday 9th November. Those who have registered to attend a session between these dates will automatically be transferred to attend digital sessions and notified directly.
  • Soccer Schools during October half term will not take place. If you have booked a space, a Foundation staff member will be in touch to offer a full refund or credit for future Soccer Schools.
  • Walking Football will not take place until the lockdown is over. If you have booked onto a session with us, a member of staff will be in touch to offer a full refund or credit for a future session.
