Cardiff City FC Community Foundation is pleased to announce a continued partnership with Cardiff City Supporters Club which will see the Supporters Club increase its support for the Premier League Kicks project.

The increased support in local communities from Cardiff City Supporters Club will have a positive impact on even more children, young people and families as our club continues to change lives.

This flourishing partnership will help the Foundation to address social issues across the Ely and Rumney districts of Cardiff as well as Pontypridd – positively making a sustainable and long-term impact amongst Foundation beneficiaries.

The partnership will ensure inclusive opportunities for young people to take part in free sports sessions, free football sessions and workshops on topics such as healthy lifestyles and employability, as well as the dangers of violence and drugs and alcohol.

Foundation Director, Gavin Hawkey said: “I’m extremely grateful to Cardiff City Supporters Club for their continued support.

“This partnership will provide essential support which will allow the Foundation to offer members of our communities a safe environment to socialise, enjoy the benefits of sport and access support around topics such as health, employment, crime and anti-social behaviour.”

Cardiff City Supporters’ Club Chair, Clive Francis said: “We have seen at first hand the positive impact that the work of the Foundation has on people in our local communities.

“We are delighted to be able to increase our support and are proud to be in partnership with an organisation that changes lives and brings such positive benefits to both individuals and the wider community”.

Since 2018, crime rates have declined, on average, by 54 incidents (9%) in locations where kicks sites are located, and we hope to continue to see this trend across current and future Kicks site locations.
